First Steps

The first start of your VIITA Active HRV is quick and easy.

If the VIITA App is not already installed on your device, please follow the steps below:

Tap Download in the App Store or in the Play Store.
Tap on Download. The installation process begins.

1. activate the clock by pressing and holding the upper button for 4 seconds.

  1. Open the VIITA App to start the setup wizard.
  2. Tap on REGISTER to create your profile.

Select your VIITA Watch. If there are several VIITA Watches in your area, make sure that the name matches your watch.

Enter the pairing code displayed on your VIITA in the VIITA app. Then tap on PAIR.

Follow the instructions in the VIITA app to complete the setup of your account.

Operation

Navigation

  1. Press one of the two buttons to activate your VIITA Smartwatch
  1. Swipe left or right to navigate through the functions.
  1. To go to the home screen or cancel a function press the upper button. No matter what position or function you are in, you can cancel it with the upper button and get to the home screen.

Quick start My Challenge

  1. Press the lower button to activate your VIITA Active Smartwatch

2. Press the lower button once more to get to MyChallenge.
3. Select Running or Cycling, the selected mode is highlighted.
4. Select the planned course length.

5. Choose the planned duration of your activity. Then tap START. Your activity starts automatically after a 3 second countdown.

Tip: If you want to repeat your last challenge you can press the lower button 3 times. Your VIITA Active HRV automatically takes over the values of your last challenge. So you can save time and start right away.

Switch off

1. Swipe to the left until you reach the SETUP menu Tap on OFF and confirm with YES.

 

Reset to factory settings

  1. Press one of the two buttons to activate your VIITA Active HRV.

2. press both buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds to reset your Smartwatch to factory settings. Then confirm with YES.

Your training data, regeneration and stress values, calories and steps are of course retained on the VIITA App when resetting to factory settings.

Features

Homescreen

Press one of the two buttons to activate the home screen. Depending on the selected homescreen the display will show you different values.

Steps and calories

Shows the current date, battery status, current heart rate, steps taken and calories burned for the current day.

Reg & Stress

Shows your water consumption, regeneration values, stress values and your individual training recommendation.

Steps

The status bar symbolizes how close you are to your set step day goal. You can set this daily goal in the VIITA app.

Calories

The status bar symbolizes how close you are to your set daily calorie target. You can set this daily goal in the VIITA app.

Note: If you are not wearing your VIITA Watch, our intelligent algorithm will recognize and take this into account. The algorithm deactivates the HRV and Micro-Movement measurement technique and uses values from your individual past instead. This ensures that you get accurate information about your calorie consumption even when you are not wearing your VIITA Watch.

Dehydration

Your VIITA automatically calculates the amount of water you need every day and also shows you your current consumption. So you know at any time how much water you have used so far. An example: If the display of your VIITA shows 2.3 liters at 10:00 pm, you should have consumed at least 2.3 liters of water from 00:00 to 10:00 pm.

Big Data

By a multiplicity of data, which VIITA has collected millionfold since 2011, it was possible to develop an algorithm which makes it possible to determine your water consumption very exactly. Already 2% fluid loss leads to a performance deficit of up to 20%. This loss of performance is reflected in many measurable factors.

The following measured data are used to calculate your individual water consumption:

  • Data of the Micro-Movement-Sensor
  • Pulse
  • Heart rate variability
  • Regeneration status
  • Stress course
  • Movement patterns of the last 7 days
  • Sleep duration and quality

Note: If you do not wear your VIITA Watch, our intelligent algorithm will detect and take this into account. The algorithm deactivates the HRV and Micro-Movement measurement technique and uses values from your individual past instead. This ensures that you get accurate information about your water consumption, even when you are not wearing your VIITA Watch.

Regeneration

If this value is high you are well regenerated and ready for the next training, but if it is low you should skip your training.

Stress

If this value is high, you are currently exposed to high stress. Not only physical stress but also psychological stress is recognized.

Recommendation

Endurance Training

The VIITA shows you the exact pulse range for your optimal endurance training.

Strength training
Break: NO TRAINING

Your body is not ideally regenerated. Better take a break.

Easy: EASY TRAINING

The training is done with relatively little weight. You should do about 15-25 repetitions per exercise and not use more than 50% of your maximum power. You should complete 1-2 sets and take about 90-120 seconds break between each set. For example, if you are able to do a bench press repetition with 100kg, then you should not take more than 50kg for light training.

Normal: NORMAL TRAINING

In normal training your goal is to achieve 8-15 repetitions per set. The intensity should be 60-70% of your maximum (in the example from above this would be 60-70 kg for bench press). Do 2-3 sets per exercise and 1-2 exercises per muscle group with about 60-90 seconds break between sets.

Hard: HARD TRAINING

During hard training your goal is to achieve a strong training stimulus. Your goal is to achieve 6-12 repetitions per set. The intensity should be at 70-80% of your maximum (in the example from above this would be 70-80 kg for bench press). Do 2-3 sets per exercise and 2 exercises per muscle group with a 60-90 second break between sets.

Correct warm-up - warming up is extremely important to prevent injuries! Use about 20-30% of your maximum power for warming up and do 10-15 repetitions with this weight before you start the actual training. The warm-up must be done for each muscle group separately and immediately before the exercise

Please note the following:
The training recommendation provides information about what training your body can tolerate based on your general regeneration. If you have a localized muscle soreness, it is possible that this does not or hardly affect your regeneration. In this case we would also advise you against training the affected muscle groups. If you are injured, you should not follow the training recommendations of your VIITA Watch.

Activity

Your VIITA Active HRV can track 19 sports. It stores values such as heart rate variability, duration of your activity, distance covered, calories burned and water consumption. These values vary depending on the type of sport you do and are stored in the internal memory of your VIITA Active for up to one month. As soon as you synchronize your Smartwatch with the VIITA APP, the stored training units are transferred to the VIITA App.

In the VIITA app you can then view the exact course of your training sessions. You can see the details in day view as well as an overview in week view. You can change the pre-selected sports in the VIITA app.

If you want to pause or cancel an activity press the upper button. Tap 1 second on the screen of your watch to confirm the pause. This is to make sure that you cannot unintentionally interrupt an activity.

My Challenge

The My Challenge function allows you to check if you have improved in an activity. It shows you in real time if you are ahead or behind. You are competing against your previous level of performance, so to speak. In this challenge, the distance covered is also compared using GPS.

You can access My Challenge either via the quick start button or via the ACTIVITY TYPE menu.

MyChallenge via quick start:

1. Press the lower button to activate your VIITA Smartwatch

2. Press the lower button once more to get to MyChallenge.
3. Select Running or Cycling, the selected mode is highlighted.
4. Select the planned course length. Tap on NEXT.

5. Choose the planned duration of your activity. Then tap START. Your activity starts automatically after a 3 second countdown.

Tip: If you want to repeat your last challenge you can press the lower button 3 times. Your VIITA Active HRV automatically takes over the values of your last challenge. So you can start right away.

Pro-tip: If you don't want to lose time at the start but have completed another challenge you can do the following:

1. Enter the distance and the duration of the activity.
2. Tap on START.
3. Cancel the challenge, it doesn't matter if you save or delete the activity.
4. When you start your next MyChallenge, the values are preset and you can start right away.

MyChallenge via the menu:

1. Swipe to the left from the Home screen until you reach the ACTIVITIES menu

2. Tap on CHALLENGE START (orange ring).
3. Select Running or Cycling, the selected mode is highlighted.
4. Select the planned distance. Tap on NEXT.

5. Choose the planned duration of your activity. Then tap START. Your activity starts automatically after a 5 second countdown.

My Sets

With the My Sets function you can make your interval or strength training even more efficient. In strength training, your VIITA reminds you when your set is over and when the next one begins, using unobtrusive vibrations. In interval training you also know when the interval ends and the next one begins. So you rarely have to look at your watch during the training and can concentrate fully on your exercises.

The practice time and break time can be individually configured via the VIITA App.

To start My Sets tap on SET in the ACTIVITIES menu.

Find My Phone

If you have lost your smartphone, you can easily find it again with the Find My Phone function. Tap on Find My Phone in the SETUP menu. If your Smartphone is near you it will start to ring.

For Find My Phone to work, the following requirements must be met:

  • The smartphone must be switched on
  • Bluetooth must be activated on your phone
  • Smartphone and Smartwatch must be coupled
  • The phone must be within Bluetooth range (8m)

Notifications

Your VIITA is able to display notifications received on your smartphone. The content of the message is displayed, which service (Facebook, Whatsapp, E-mail etc.) it comes from and who the sender is. Incoming calls are also displayed on your VIITA.

Tap ALL to mark the message as read. If you have received several messages tap on NEXT to move to the next message.

Tap IGNORE to stop showing the call on your VIITA.

 

Please note:

To use Push Notifications on your Smartwatch you have to allow the display of notifications in the history on your smartphone. You can find out how this works with Apple here. You also need to enable notifications in the VIITA app.

Maintenance and support

Handle the instrument carefully - do not drop it or subject it to shocks.

Under normal circumstances, the watch does not require maintenance. After use, clean the case carefully with a soft, damp cloth or chamois leather.

Use only original VIITA accessories - damage caused by non-original accessories is not covered by the warranty.

Use and storage

  • Use the product at temperatures between -10 °C and 45 °C.
  • The product should be stored in a clean, dry place at temperatures between 10 °C and 30 °C when not in use.
  • Avoid extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Avoid any kind of shock, whether physical, thermal or other. Such shock could damage the internal and external components of your watch.
  • Keep the case of your VIITA away from sharp and hard objects to prevent scratches.
  • Keep your VIITA and all accessories out of the reach of children - there is a danger of suffocation by small parts.

Measure heart rate

  • The blood circulation of the skin, i.e. the amount of blood that flows through the skin, varies from person to person and depending on the environment. Under certain circumstances the VIITA may not be able to provide an accurate heart rate measurement.
  • The technology used in the VIITA is based on the light absorbed by your skin and blood. Any permanent or temporary changes to your skin, such as tattoos, sweat or even hair on your wrist, may affect the measurements.
  • Environmental factors can affect the VIITA's ability to take accurate measurements. For example, water can hinder or change the scattering of light, and cold weather can have an effect on the blood circulation of the skin.
  • In order for the VIITA to provide a measurement of heart rate, it must not slip back and forth. Activities that exert force on the wrist, such as boxing or volleyball, can prevent precise heart rate measurement with the VIITA.

Wear my VIITA right

Your VIITA should sit about one centimeter below the wrist. To ensure that your heart rate is accurately measured, the bracelet should be worn comfortably tight around your wrist.

Waterproofness

  • Your VIITA is waterproof to 10 ATM. So you can wear it when washing your hands, swimming, showering or snorkeling. But it is not suitable for diving.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals and chemical products like solvents, detergents, perfume or cosmetics. These can damage the bracelet or case of your watch.
  • Avoid extreme environments (such as saunas or steam baths).

Repair and maintenance

  • Do not repair or attempt to repair or modify your VIITA yourself. Repair and maintenance work not described in this manual should be carried out by qualified technical personnel.
  • Extremely high or low temperatures can shorten the battery life.
  • The water resistance of the watch may also be affected by aging of the material. Therefore, we cannot guarantee water resistance indefinitely.

Clean my VIITA

  1. Clean the glass and housing of your VIITA Active HRV with a lint-free cloth moistened with water.
  2. Rinse the silicone bracelet under running water and clean it thoroughly with hypoallergenic soap.
  3. Dry the silicone bracelet with a soft cloth.

Charge the battery

Your VIITA will last up to 10 days without recharging.

To recharge your VIITA, please follow these steps:

  1. Connect the USB end of the charging cable to a power source.
  2. Position your VIITA in the charging cradle provided. You can read the battery level on the clock display while the battery is charging.
